Every effort will be made to ship orders received before 3pm the same day.
- Orders arriving between 3pm and 4pm may ship the same business day.
- Orders received after 4pm will ship the next business day.
- All orders shipped within New Zealand are shipped by overnight courier unless other arrangements have been made.
PRODUCT NOT IN STOCK (BACKORDERS)
- If we are unable to ship a product within two working days of receiving your order, an expected ship date will be emailed to you. You then have the choice of substituting the product for something else (with a refund / payment in the price difference), leaving the product on back order or cancelling the order.
- Should you decide to cancel the order a full refund will be supplied in the form of the payment we received (i.e. if you paid by credit card, we will refund against your credit card) within one working business day.
At MSEL, we strive to provide high-quality products and excellent customer service. Our goal is to maintain fair and transparent return policies that balance the needs of our customers with the practicality of our business operations.
As some of our products are highly technical and application-specific, we encourage our customers to carefully consider their purchases before making them. We provide as much information as possible on our website. We ask that you consider this and make an educated decision prior to purchase. If you are still uncertain about a product's compatibility or suitability for your project, please contact our sales department for assistance before making a purchase.
We do not offer refunds if you change your mind. As per the Consumers Guarantee Act (NZ), changing your mind is not a valid reason for either cancelling or returning an order.
All returns must be accompanied by a completed RMA form. If an item is returned without an RMA form, no refund will be granted. Further, returns are subject to inspection to ensure that they meet our requirements. Products that appear to have been used or installed contrary to the manufacturer's instructions, improperly handled, packaged, or shipped by the customer will not be eligible for exchange, refund, or warranty consideration.
Inspections of returned merchandise are usually completed within seven business days of receipt of the return. Additional time may be needed if the merchandise must be returned to the manufacturer / vendor for further testing.
We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee or refuse a return.
Some items may qualify for return if they are in new / unused condition with all paperwork, tags and packaging intact within 10 working days of purchase. All returns must be approved by MSEL in advance. An RMA number will be provided by MSEL once the return has been authorized. MSEL will refuse all returned packages which do not arrive with a valid RMA number.
If an order is being returned for exchange a full credit for the value of the goods will be issued and applied to the cost of the replacement. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs to and from MSEL. The customer is responsible for any damage that occurs as a result of improper packaging of the returned goods. Missing / damaged parts may lead to repair/replacement charges or disqualify the return
If a product is being returned for refund a minimum 15% restocking fee (minimum $20 fee) will be deducted along with shipping costs (to and from MSEL). This is to cover administrative, evaluation and repacking costs. Any returns must be in an as new condition and be able to be sold again as new (i.e.. no courier labels on packaging and seals not broken).
We cannot accept returns of custom-ordered or special-order items. These include, but not limited to items ordered specially for customer, customer requested cut length or modified product or parts custom made for the customer (i.e. wiring looms).
There is absolutely no return possible for the following products:
- Motec upgrade codes
- Motec engine management or datalogging systems
- Fuel pumps removed from their sealed shipping bags
- Fuel injectors removed from their sealed shipping bags
Final sale, clearance, or non-returnable items are also ineligible for return or refund.
If you receive a product that is damaged or incorrect (to your purchase order), please document the damage with the courier before accepting and sign the package. Take pictures with your camera or phone and forward the details to MSEL immediately to facilitate the claim process.
All order-related issues must be reported to MSEL within five business days of the courier's documented delivery. We will not be responsible for damage, shortages, or loss that are not reported within this timeframe.
If you feel that there are extenuating circumstances that would justify a case review of your claim, please contact our sales department. We will do our best to work with you to find a satisfactory solution.
