Operation:
Mercury OE Integration
To allow for the MCM112 ECU to communicate with the other OE modules on the CAN Bus (Dash, Body module, DTS, etc.) The following settings within the Mercury group need to be configured:
- Mercury Engine Configuration
- Mercury Engine ID
- Mercury Dash Type
- Mercury Dash Tank Configuration
Reference Mode
Package reference mode will be preset for a Mercury 450/500 Outboard engine.
ECU Sleep Mode
- Battery Connection
- When the ECU is connected to constant battery power. E.g. the battery is connected, or the battery isolator switch is turned ON the ECU will remain ON for 30 seconds then go into sleep mode.
- This cycle will repeat anytime battery power is disconnected/reconnected.
- If M1 Tune is connected to the ECU within the 30 seconds the ECU will remain powered until M1 Tune is disconnected.
- Ignition ON
- When the ignition is turned ON then OFF the ECU will remain ON for 5 seconds then go into sleep mode.
- This cycle will repeat anytime the ignition is turned ON / OFF.
- If M1 Tune is connected to the ECU with the ignition ON the ECU will remain powered until M1 Tune is disconnected.
Power Hold Relay
This system will keep the ECU powered up whilst connected to M1 Tune after the ignition has been turned OFF.
Cown Trim Switches
The cowl trim switches will operate while the ECU is in sleep mode (identically to the OE behaviour).
Engine Start
This feature operates identically to OE behaviour.
Driver Switches
Various in boat switches are received over CAN bus and assigned to firmware resources to allow for mode switching or outputting to certain devices on the CAN Bus.
