Description
Developed by Motorsport Electronics in conjunction with Toyota New Zealand, the DPF bypass module is spliced into the wiring loom of vehicle to stop the engine going through a burn cycle.
This kit is only for the following vehicles:-
- 2007 through early 2010 Japanese domestic model (JDM) Toyota Hiace vans (KDH201) with four diesel injectors with 1KD engine
- 2007 through early 2010 JDM Toyota Dyna/Coaster light trucks with 1KD engine
- 2007 through early 2010 JDM Toyota Dyna/Coaster light trucks with N04C engine
Please note the reference images, as there can be some crossover around 2010 models. Exhausts with the three temperature sensors and one O2 sensor require the TOY2010DPF kit. The third temperature sensor (image attached) is not on the earlier models.
The advantages of this kit are:-
- you can run lower cost standard diesel oil instead of the more expensive DPF grade oil - you must still run the manufacturers recommend weight oil
- improved mileage as the engine will no longer go through the burn cycle
- no more waiting for the vehicle to complete its burn cycle before you can drive it again
The DPF MUST be removed from the exhaust immediately once this kit has been installed as the engine will no longer keep the DPF clean. We recommend getting this removed by an exhaust shop. Instructions for this are included with the kit.
The DPF system must be functioning correctly before the installation of this kit. This kit will not repair a faulty, damaged or otherwise modified DPF system.
This kit must be installed by an Auto Electrician, Toyota Dealer or Motorsport Electronics. This is a technical product so no support for this kit is given to the end user by Motorsport Electronics. This kit will only work in the vehicles listed.
